Become a part of the dedicated Aquatics team at the Steve & Sally Stavro YMCA in Toronto. Help deliver swim lessons and maintain a safe aquatic environment in this contract role.
We’re seeking Lifeguards and Swim Instructors for our vibrant community at the YMCA. Instructors will engage participants through tailored lesson plans while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Lifeguards will uphold safety standards and aid in maintaining an orderly environment during swim activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety procedures and emergency response protocols are followed
• Develop and implement swim lesson plans tailored to participants
• Coach and communicate progress effectively to parents
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of pool equipment
• Assist in scheduled YMCA programs and events
Requirements:
• Current Lifeguard and CPR certifications required
• YMCA Swim Instructor certification
• Previous experience in instructing or lifeguarding preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends
Contribute to the health and safety of participants while delivering quality swim instruction at the YMCA.
