Leisure Attendants (Lifeguard) –
Salary: £26,403 – £28,142 per annum (pro-rata for part-time posts)
Contract: Full-time and Part-time permanent positions.
Job Overview
We’re looking for motivated, responsible and customer‑focused Lifeguards to keep swimmers safe and our leisure environment clean and welcoming for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise poolside activity and ensure safety of swimmers at all times.
- Respond confidently to emergencies.
- Deliver excellent customer service and a positive experience for all visitors.
- Assist with equipment set‑ups and centre cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Valid NPLQ (or RLSS Pool Lifeguarding) qualification.
- Good communication skills with a calm, proactive and safety‑minded approach.
- Completion of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
Job Details
Position requires working rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

- Darlaston Swimming Pool – 1 x Full‑Time 37 hours
- Walsall Gala Swimming & Fitness Centre – 1 x Full‑Time 37 hours, 1 x Part‑Time 19.5 hours
- Bloxwich Active Living Centre – 1 x Part‑Time 18.5 hours
Additional Information
Completion of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this role. The role requires rotating shifts including evenings and weekends and bank holidays.
