Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they are engaging, educational, and aligned with program goals.
- Supervise and support teaching staff and aides, providing guidance on lesson delivery and classroom management strategies.
- Implement effective behavior management techniques to promote a respectful and inclusive environment for all children.
- Coordinate with team members to plan age-appropriate lessons that incorporate arts, sports, drama, and other experiential learning opportunities.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times; maintain vigilance in supervising children during indoor activities, outdoor play, field trips, and meals.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress and any concerns that arise during the program.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and other documentation required for program compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or early childhood education.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior and create an inclusive environment.
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain prior to start date; knowledge of child safety procedures is essential.
- Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and children.
- Previous camp experience or sports coaching background is advantageous for leading recreational activities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced summer environment while maintaining enthusiasm and professionalism.

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
