Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, elite Lead Basketball Camp / Clinic Director to serve as the "Head Coach" and primary on-court voice for our youth academy. This position will lead upcoming youth clinics targeting players ages 6–12 across premium athletic facilities in Delaware County, Chester County, and the King of Prussia region.
What you don’t have to worry about: Marketing, digital lead generation, player registration, court rentals, and booking guest entertainment are 100% handled by our corporate team.
Your sole focus: Step onto the court, execute the academy’s blueprint, manage the training schedule, and lead a high-intensity, professional youth camp atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Command the Court: Act as the head coach, primary whistle, and master of ceremonies for the on-court training portions of every clinic.
- Execute Circuits: Oversee and implement a structured, fast-paced curriculum of fundamental skill stations (shooting, footwork, basketball IQ) tailored for the 6–12 age bracket.
- Direct Assistant Staff: Manage and delegate tasks to 2–3 assistant coaches (local college or high school players) to ensure drills run efficiently and energy levels stay high.
- Keep the Event on Schedule: Strictly manage the clock, ensuring timely station rotations, water breaks, and smooth transitions into the closing events (dunk shows, awards, and pizza parties).
- Parent & Athlete Relations: Maintain a professional, high-energy, authoritative, and encouraging environment that keeps families coming back.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Coaching Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience coaching basketball at the AAU, High School Varsity, or Collegiate level (Required). Strong experience training the 6–12 age group is heavily preferred.
- Public Speaking & Leadership: Exceptional vocal presence. You must be able to confidently, clearly, and professionally command a crowded gym of 40+ kids and their parents.
- Reliability: Highly punctual and organized. Must have reliable transportation to travel to rotating tri-county gym locations.
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: Part-time, multi-date availability based on scheduled clinic events (typically 2-3 hours per event shift including setup).
- Compensation: $100.00 per hour (Paid out immediately upon weekly clinic completions based on hours worked).
Pay: Up to $100.00 per hour
