Position: Karate Teaching Instructor Needed
We’re seeking a passionate Karate Instructor to join the Central YMCA Health & Fitness Centre. Inspire and instruct students, ensuring a fun and safe atmosphere.
In this part-time contract role, you’ll actively teach Karate and help participants progress through the program. You will create lesson plans, track student development, and facilitate a supportive and inclusive environment for all learners at the YMCA.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide instruction for YMCA Karate classes
• Develop lesson plans tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with Lead Instructor on student assessments
• Maintain accurate weekly progress documentation
• Ensure all equipment is safe and well-maintained
Requirements:
• Standard First Aid & CPR level C certification required
• At least 1 year of Karate practice needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
• Previous experience with youth is an asset
