JV Boys Soccer Coach
Mt. Blue High School
Job Goal(s): To instruct student athletes in the fundamentals, rules, strategies and physical training needed for individual and team success that leads to pride, self-confidence and self- discipline.
Qualifications
- Previous playing or coaching experience.
- Strong understanding of soccer rules, tactics, and modern coaching methodologies.
- CPR/First Aid certification and relevant state-level coaching certifications (e.g., NFHS or state principal association requirements).
- Must pass all necessary state criminal history and background checks required for school employees (e.g., Maine DOE CHRC).
Certifications
- Valid CHRC
Performance Responsibilities
Education
The coach must be at least 20 years of age, or a high school graduate.
Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of the game is preferred as well as knowledge of current coaching techniques and procedures. Knowledge of NFHS and MPA Rules. Demonstrate ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.
Working Schedule
Travel Requirements
Reports To: Director of Athletics / Head Boys Soccer Coach
Terms of Employment: As determined annually by the District.
Evaluation: Completed annually by Director of Athletics and Head Boys Soccer Coach
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
