Every year Europol offers internships that provide individuals with the opportunity to learn more about our activities and put their learning and skills into practice – hands on experience! Therefore, Europol is excited to look for and establish a reserve list of successful candidates for the Internal Communication & Protocol Team within the Corporate Communications Unit of the Corporate Affairs Bureau of Europol. This internship will focus on providing support to high-level visits and other protocol matters and event management.

The intern will support the team by:

  • Providing support in the preparation of high-level visits and events from protocol as well as organisational perspective;
  • Assisting during the execution of visits;
  • Supporting the Protocol function in the team in every-day administration linked to the organisation of the high-level visits and event management;
  • Drafting processes related to the implementation of the protocol;
  • Maintaining overviews and logs;
  • Carrying out desktop market research for protocol items (provide its analysis and support the procurement process) under supervision;
  • Any other activities requested by the internship supervisor.

The selected applicants will join the internship projects for a minimum period of 6 months and a maximum period of 12 months, including any possibility of extension based on the performance of the intern, the interest of the service and budget availability, with a work schedule of 40 hours a week. The internship will take place at the Europol premises in The Hague, The Netherlands.

During the period of internship, interns currently receive a MONTHLY MAINTENANCE GRANT of 1602 EUR, serving the purpose to cover the costs of living in The Netherlands.
