Instructional Support Specialist – Patient Access Jobs in South Carolina at McLeod Health
1. Responsible for new hire and on going training for the Mcleod Revenue Cycle including but not limited to Claims, Insurance eligibility and Authorization, Pre-Service Hospital functions, Insurance-Follow Up/Denials, Customer Service, and Cash Posting.
2. Retraining efforts of all staff as process improvement opportunities are identified and cascaded to the teams.
3. Professionally and effectively introduces training materials.
4. Proactively measures training efforts to ensure the teams are progressing, as desired, and responds accordingly when additional training is required to ensure team member is properly equipped to perform said job responsibilities.
5. Performs audits post training to ensure employee’s complete knowledge and understanding of departmental and role specific duties
6. Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly
Qualifications /Training:
At least 2 years of direct experience in hospital claims, follow up, denials management or previous training
Strong knowledge of healthcare insurance (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial plans).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) from an accredited school required
