Role Description The Indoor Golf Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in San Juan Capistrano, CA, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the indoor golf facility. This includes managing staff scheduling, supervising front-of-house and simulator activities, and ensuring high standards of customer service at all times. The role involves coordinating bookings, events, and leagues, monitoring equipment performance, and working closely with vendors and service providers to maintain a reliable, safe environment. The Operations Manager will manage inventory for food, beverages, and retail items, handle basic financial tasks such as reporting and cash controls, and implement operational policies and procedures. The position also involves supporting marketing initiatives, collecting guest feedback, and partnering with leadership to improve processes, grow revenue, and maintain a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality, sports, recreation, or facility management, with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of golf or strong interest in the sport, including familiarity with golf simulators, practice formats, and player needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including staff supervision, scheduling, coaching team members, and fostering a respectful, collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational and operational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain procedures, and ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with guests, team members, and external partners.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and point-of-sale systems; comfort learning new software for scheduling, customer management, and simulator operations.
  • Experience with event coordination, membership programs, or local marketing activities is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and to stand or move around the facility for extended periods.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or shift lead role and a high school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in hospitality or sports management are a plus.
