Horseback Riding Instructor / Horse Trainer
WildHeart Riding School – Loxahatchee, FL
WildHeart Riding School is growing, and we’re looking for a positive, experienced Riding Instructor / Horse Trainer to join our team in Loxahatchee.
We are not a show barn. Our focus is helping riders of all ages build confidence, develop strong horsemanship skills, and enjoy horses in a welcoming, pressure-free environment. We teach both English and Western riding and work with beginners through intermediate riders.
If you genuinely love both horses and people, enjoy teaching, and take pride in developing safe, reliable lesson horses, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Teach private and group riding lessons
- Work with riders of various ages and skill levels
- Teach beginner through intermediate riders
- Help riders improve confidence, balance, and horsemanship
- School and tune up lesson horses regularly
- Evaluate horses for lesson suitability and rider matching
- Assist with rider evaluations and introductory lessons
- Support riders with groundwork and horse care education
- Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and team members
- Participate in barn operations as needed
Qualifications
- Prior riding instruction experience required
- Strong horse training and horsemanship skills
- Experience with both English and/or Western riding
- Comfortable teaching children and adults
- Patient, positive, and safety-focused
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather
- Experience working with riders with special needs is a plus
