High School Color Guard Assistant Sponsor

TITLE: COLOR GUARD ASSISTANT SPONSOR

REPORTS TO: Band Director

SUPERVISES: Band Students

BASIC FUNCTION: To provide leadership, coordination, and instruction of color guard

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist band director in the instruction of all color guard activities and practices per approved schedule from the band director.
• Teach and refine the color guard routine
• Provide after school practices per approved schedule from the band director.
• Assist band director in designing of flags and costumes.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with high school and/or drum corps

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Work schedule to be established between July 1 – June 30 during marching band and colorguard seasons.
• Stipend – Salary as established by the Board of Education.
