Role Description The Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at LACTY Co., Ltd. in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The HSE Officer will monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across the manufacturing facility, conduct regular risk assessments, and support incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions. This role includes developing and updating HSE policies and procedures, delivering safety training and awareness programs, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards. The HSE Officer will collaborate with production, maintenance, and HR teams to improve workplace safety practices, track HSE performance metrics, and promote a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental stewardship.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Workplace Safety skills, with practical experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health expertise, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and control measures.
- Candidates should possess relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent recognized safety qualifications.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Vietnamese HSE regulations and standards, and the ability to implement compliant procedures on site.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and training skills, with the ability to influence safe behaviors and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and reporting skills to track incidents, near misses, and key HSE performance indicators.
- A diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in footwear, manufacturing, or similar high-volume production environments is an advantage.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, HSE, or related fields.
- Newly graduated candidates or those with less than one year of experience are preferred.
- Ability to communicate and read English effectively in a professional setting.
- Basic knowledge of environmental science and ISO 14001/ISO 45001 management systems is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Careful, honest, eager to learn, proactive, and responsible in their work.
