Head Softball Coach Jobs in Fergus Falls at Minnesota State Community and Technical College
Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State) is seeking a Head Softball Coach on our Fergus Falls campus. In this role, you’ll lead and develop our softball program while mentoring student-athletes and helping them build the skills needed for success both on the field and in the classroom.

Assignment Credits & Per Credit Salary Range: Coaches are considered temporary part-time faculty and pay is determined by the number of assignment credits. The Head Softball Coach position is 9 credits. The per credit salary rate is $1,435.56 up to $2,396.43. Please note: Initial per credit salary placement is determined on the basis of education and experience in accordance with the faculty contract.
Responsibilities:
Activities related to comprehensive community college teaching and learning, including but not limited to:
- Head coach duties, including recruiting, conducting practices and tryouts, organizing and scheduling road trips, tracking students’ athletic eligibility, and other related duties.
- Monitor softball budget, fundraise as appropriate, and maintain spending practices in alignment with NJCAA rules.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- Softball coaching experience;
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Demonstrate the ability to recruit and coach;
- Ability and commitment to adhere to the policies and procedures of Minnesota State Community and Technical College, MCCC and NCAA Division III.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Assistant or Head coaching (softball) experience at the collegiate level.
- Ability to work with a diverse population of students.
