The Opportunity
As the Head Coach, you are the strongest coach on our team and the face of the KidsUnited experience. You will work directly alongside the General Manager (GM) as a member of the Leadership Team to grow club membership and ensure every child has an incredible experience. You will lead by example, coaching your own classes each week while mentoring your staff to meet your high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Elite Coaching: Directly coach multiple classes per week, serving as the model of excellence for our curriculum.
- Leadership & Growth: Partner with the GM to fulfill operational duties and hit membership growth goals.
- Team Management: Hire, train, and manage a team of 5–7 coaches, ensuring they deliver our "product" with passion and precision.
- Quality & Curriculum: Implement high-quality soccer programs using KIDSUNITED corporate materials and assist in curriculum development.
- Parent & Community Relations: Be the "super-personable" face of the club, maintaining open, professional communication with guardians and players.
- Performance Standards: Conduct monthly reviews to ensure every coach on your team is performing at an elite level.
- Safety & Operations: Manage all training equipment and ensure strict adherence to health and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Soccer Expertise: Must have played soccer at a minimum of a high school level (College or above a plus).
- Youth Passion: A genuine love for working with children aged 1.5–10 and the ability to make every class fun and engaging.
- Coaching Experience: Current coaching experience is a plus, but we prioritize leadership potential and soccer IQ.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; must be comfortable and professional when speaking with parents.
- Language: Bilingual skills are a plus (Spanish).
- Requirements: Must pass a background check and verify eligibility to work in the U.S..
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $36,000 – $45,000 per year, depending on qualifications.
- Commissions: Eligibility for performance-based commissions.
- Paid Time Off: 10 days of paid vacation and 10 days of sick time per year.
- 8 Paid Holidays: Includes New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Schedule & Employment Details
- Hours: Full-time (approx. 40 hours per week).
- Shift: Hours align with our class schedule, including Saturdays and Sundays. But Head coach will not be expected to work every weekend.
- Probationary Period: Includes an initial 90-day probationary period with monthly performance reviews to ensure a perfect fit for the Head Coach role.
- Employment Type: At-will employment.

- Club scheduled to open for classes on Friday, June 5th. Must be available for training 6/2-6/4. Training will be paid at minimum wage, and then coaches who pass the training will be hired as coaches.
Experience:
- Coaching youth soccer 2nd experience below: 1 year (Preferred)
- working with children & backckground in playing soccer: 1 year (Preferred)
