Head of Marketing Jobs in Greater Madrid Metropolitan Area at Vitruve

Title: Head of Marketing

Company: Vitruve

Location: Greater Madrid Metropolitan Area

ATTENTION. THIS IS NOT THE TYPICAL 9-TO-6 JOB.

About Vitruve

Vitruve is a Madrid-based sports technology startup building the technology that professional strength & conditioning coaches rely on to plan, train, measure and improve athlete performance. It starts with our devices, like the Vitruve Force VBT encoder, and extends into a full software platform used by top athletes and teams around the world. The main teams we work with include Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, the New York Yankees, PSG, Atlético de Madrid, and leading universities across the US.

We're now entering our next phase of growth: our ambition is to grow the business at a 2x year-over-year pace, and this role is central to making that happen.

Mission

The Head of Marketing is responsible for defining, together with the CRO, and owning the execution of Vitruve's global marketing strategy, including brand, demand generation, and content, across all regions (EMEA, US, and LATAM). This role moves beyond regional field execution to set the company-wide marketing agenda: building a scalable engine that drives pipeline and revenue in partnership with Sales, strengthens Vitruve's position as the category leader in VBT and athletic performance technology, and turns a small, senior team into a highly efficient, output-driven unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning, Budget & ROI: Define the global marketing strategy, annual plan, and budget alongside the CRO. Build and own the marketing dashboard (tracking pipeline, CAC, and conversion) to hit revenue targets and optimize spend performance.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of three direct reports (Brand, Paid Media, and Senior Copywriter), setting clear priorities, quality standards, and accountability for output.

  • Brand Strategy, PR & Partnerships: Establish Vitruve's global brand voice and consistency across all regions and products (Device, Builder, AMS/Labs, Force). Oversee PR, media relations, and key strategic partnerships (teams, federations, universities).

  • Demand Gen, MarTech & Sales Alignment: Own the performance marketing engine (SEM, paid social) and the tech stack (HubSpot, automation, attribution). Partner with Sales/CRO to optimize lead scoring, accelerate funnel velocity, and reduce churn.

  • GTM, Product Launches & Events: Identify new growth opportunities (geographies, sports verticals), build go-to-market plans for new product launches (e.g., Timing Gates / Force), and execute end-to-end event strategies (trade shows, webinars, activations).

Profile Requirements

  • At least 3 years leading high-performance marketing teams in very agile environments; ideally in B2B SaaS or hardware+SaaS, with sports tech, fitness, or performance industries highly preferred.

  • Proven track record owning a marketing budget and being accountable for pipeline/revenue outcomes, not just brand or activity metrics.

  • Experience managing a small, senior team and operating as a hands-on player-coach; this is not a purely strategic role with a large team to delegate to.

  • Strong command of paid acquisition (SEM/paid social) and marketing analytics; comfortable owning a CRM/marketing automation stack end-to-end.

  • Excellent cross-functional communicator, able to align closely with the CRO on shared revenue goals.

  • Autonomous, data-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth, resource-constrained environment.

  • Fluent in English (mandatory); Spanish is a plus.

  • Genuine passion for sports, performance, or health/sports technology (highly preferred).

Conditions

  • Location: Madrid Office
  • Type: Full-Time
  • Language: English (mandatory); Spanish is a plus
  • Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)
  • Team: Brand Manager, Paid Media Manager, Senior Copywriter
  • Salary: €45,000 gross/year + 10% bonus paid at year-end
