Propel Schools is seeking a Head Middle School Girls Basketball Coach for the season starting this Winter.
Desired Experience & Skills
- Prior Middle School, Varsity and/or Junior Varsity Basketball coaching experience.
- Experience as a head coach, playing experience and demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the middle school level.
- Responsibility for assembling coaching staff.
- Coordinating a middle school basketball program with the coaching team and/or athletic director.
- Implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations.
- Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations.
- High level of personal organization and planning.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
- A commitment to the Propel Habits.
Season Information
- The Middle School Girls Basketball season is scheduled to begin on January 4th, 2027 and is anticipated to conclude in March, although the season may end earlier or later depending on if the team participates in postseason.
- This position includes a seasonal stipend of $1,750. The stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.
Requirements
- Up-to-date TB Test.
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance.
- Act 114 FBI Clearance.
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance.
- Mandated Reporter Training.
Education
- Associates degree or better.
Experience
- Proven experience as a coach on the youth and/or interscholastic levels.
