Role Description The Head Figure Skating Coach is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuwait City. This role involves leading and managing figure skating programs, including developing training plans, conducting on-ice and off-ice sessions, and overseeing skater progression from beginner to advanced levels. The coach will create choreography for individual and group routines, prepare skaters for shows and competitions, and ensure a safe and supportive training environment. Daily responsibilities include mentoring assistant coaches, coordinating schedules, communicating with skaters and families, and collaborating with management to align programs with TAS Entertainment’s overall offerings. The Head Figure Skating Coach is expected to model professional conduct, uphold safety standards, and contribute to the growth of the skating community.
Qualifications
- Strong technical proficiency in Skating and Figure Skating, with experience at competitive or professional levels.
- Proven Training and Coaching skills, including designing structured programs and guiding skaters of varying ages and abilities.
- Choreography experience for solo and group performances, with the ability to adapt routines to different skill levels and event formats.
- Demonstrated ability to create a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused learning environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with skaters, families, and colleagues.
- Experience leading or supervising coaching teams is highly beneficial.
- Relevant coaching certifications in figure skating or ice sports; first aid or safety training is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event schedules as needed.
