Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Head Sports Coach to lead and inspire our sports programs across a variety of disciplines. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and execution of training sessions, foster a positive team environment, and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive coaching plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels across multiple sports including soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (such as karate, judo, and boxing), and swimming.
- Lead engaging training sessions that emphasize skill development, proper technique, safety protocols, and fun.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere by encouraging teamwork, good sportsmanship, and respectful communication among participants.
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards by supervising participants closely and operating first aid equipment such as AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and clients regarding program schedules, progress updates, and behavioral management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, incident reports, and safety checks.
- Promote health club standards by ensuring facilities are well-maintained and equipment is used correctly.
Experience
- Prior work with children or youth in a coaching or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures including CPR and AED operation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate students while managing behavior effectively in a lively setting.
