Responsibilities Include:
- Administer and teach all phases of training and fundamentals for a successful program in accordance with NCAA, CAA, and UNCW’s rules and regulations. Develop quality student-athletes within a successful program while maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
- Participate in and support department and program fundraising, promotional and public relations events, campus and community outreach and service projects.
- Demonstrate commitment to NCAA, CAA and University Compliance.
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act). This position will be required to complete annual training about reporting responsibilities and report Clery crimes that occur within one of three categories of properties: On-Campus property, Non-Campus Property, or Public Property.
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years of experience coaching at the collegiate level
- Proven success in the recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes as well as the commitment to the personal, academic, and athletics success of all student-athletes.
- Outstanding leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Master’s Degree with Division I coaching experience.
- Certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
