Head Coach – Beach Volleyball Jobs in Port Saint Lucie at RPS Academies
Position Summary
RPS Academies is seeking an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Head Coach – Beach Volleyball to lead and grow our high-performance beach volleyball program. This individual will oversee the athletic, personal, and competitive development of student-athletes while building a nationally recognized program through coaching excellence, athlete recruitment, tournament success, and college placement outcomes.
The Head Coach – Beach Volleyball will be responsible for all aspects of the beach volleyball program including athlete development, recruiting, competition planning, staff leadership, parent engagement, operational oversight, and program growth. The ideal candidate embraces a long-term athlete development philosophy and creates a culture of discipline, excellence, accountability, teamwork, and character.
Key Responsibilities
Athlete Development
- Plan and conduct daily high-performance beach volleyball practices and training sessions.
- Develop technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of athlete performance.
- Create individualized development plans for each student-athlete.
- Monitor athlete progress and provide regular evaluations and feedback.
- Utilize video analysis and performance metrics to support development.
- Collaborate with academic and residential staff to support overall student-athlete success.
Periodization & Performance Training
- Design and implement annual training and periodization plans.
- Coordinate training cycles around competition schedules.
- Work collaboratively with strength and conditioning coaches, athletic trainers, and sports performance staff.
- Ensure recovery, injury prevention, and athlete wellness strategies are incorporated into training.
- Monitor athlete workload and performance outcomes.
Recruiting & Enrollment Support
- Recruit domestic and international student-athletes.
- Build relationships with clubs, coaches, schools, federations, and recruiting networks.
- Evaluate prospective athletes and assist families throughout the admissions process.
- Represent RPS Academies at recruiting events, showcases, and community outreach opportunities.
- Support enrollment growth goals through strategic recruiting efforts.
Competition & Tournament Management
- Develop and manage the annual competition calendar.
- Register athletes for local, regional, national, and international competitions.
- Coordinate tournament travel, logistics, and coaching assignments.
- Analyze competitive performance and adjust development plans accordingly.
- Ensure all travel and event operations align with academy standards and budget expectations.
College Placement & Athlete Advancement
- Assist student-athletes through the college recruiting process.
- Develop and maintain relationships with college coaches and programs.
- Prepare athlete profiles, recruiting materials, and highlight videos.
- Support athletes in maximizing collegiate placement and scholarship opportunities.
Program Leadership & Growth
- Lead the strategic growth and long-term vision of the beach volleyball program.
- Develop camps, clinics, and outreach initiatives that strengthen recruitment and program visibility.
- Support marketing initiatives through social media, events, and promotional activities.
- Assist with budget planning, equipment management, and resource allocation.
- Establish annual program goals and monitor performance outcomes.
Staff Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and support assistant coaches, interns, and program staff.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and professional coaching environment.
Student-Athlete Experience & Parent Communication
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and competitive environment.
- Mentor student-athletes on and off the court.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding athlete development, expectations, and progress.
- Promote and uphold the mission, values, and culture of RPS Academies.
Safety, Compliance & Administration
- Maintain accurate athlete records and development reports.
- Ensure compliance with academy policies, athlete safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Maintain SafeSport, CPR/First Aid, and other required certifications.
- Complete all required background screenings and training.
- Support emergency preparedness and athlete welfare protocols.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of competitive beach volleyball coaching experience preferred.
- Experience coaching junior, elite, or high-performance athletes.
- Strong understanding of long-term athlete development and periodization principles.
- Recruiting and college placement experience preferred.
- Experience using video analysis and athlete development tools preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Work Schedule
This position requires flexibility including evenings, weekends, travel, tournaments, camps, recruiting events, and academy activities.

Pay: $24.91 – $30.00 per hour
