Program Manager – Youth Sports (GYSA)

Location: Las Vegas, NV (Hybrid – Remote + On-Site)

Compensation: $45,000 – $50,000 annually + Health Benefit Stipend

Schedule: Hybrid work model consisting of two in-office days per week, remote work flexibility throughout the week, and some required evenings/weekends for league games, tournaments, events, and community activations.

Greater Youth Sports Association (GYSA) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization serving over 2,000 youth annually across the Las Vegas community.

Our mission is to inspire, uplift, and impact lives through youth sports by providing accessible, structured, and development-focused after-school sports programming for elementary and middle school youth.

GYSA partners with schools, community organizations, and local leaders to create positive environments where youth can develop confidence, teamwork, leadership, and life skills through athletics.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and systems-oriented Program Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of GYSA youth sports programming.

This individual will play a critical leadership role in ensuring all school-based programs, leagues, clinics, tournaments, and operational systems run efficiently and consistently.

The Program Manager will oversee program logistics, staff coordination, communication systems, registrations, scheduling, and overall program execution while helping GYSA continue scaling citywide.

The ideal candidate thrives in structured environments, communicates effectively, solves problems quickly, and can successfully manage multiple moving parts without letting details fall through the cracks.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Operations

  • Oversee execution of all seasonal rec sports leagues (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer) – Basketball, Cheer, Soccer, Flag Football, Volleyball, Track
  • Manage program timelines, league schedules, team structures, and operational calendars
  • Coordinate practice schedules, game schedules, facilities, and site logistics
  • Ensure all deliverables, deadlines, and operational tasks are completed on time
  • Assist with planning and execution of tournaments, clinics, showcases, and special events

Coach & Staff Management

  • Maintain regular communication with all coaches and league personnel
  • Ensure staff understand expectations, policies, schedules, and program standards
  • Help coordinate staffing coverage for league days, practices, and events
  • Monitor staff accountability and operational performance

School & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for school administrators and site coordinators
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with partner schools and community stakeholders
  • Communicate consistently with parents regarding schedules, updates, registrations, and league information
  • Support sponsor/community engagement efforts when needed

Registration & Systems Management

  • Oversee registration systems and participant management processes
  • Maintain accurate rosters, team assignments, attendance records, and participant tracking
  • Ensure registration forms, waivers, and parent communications are organized and updated
  • Assist with data reporting and program documentation

Game Day & Event Oversight

  • Coordinate and oversee league operations during seasons and major events
  • Be present for select evenings/weekends during league play, tournaments, and community events
  • Ensure practices, games, and events operate smoothly and professionally
  • Troubleshoot operational issues in real time and implement effective solutions quickly

Process & Systems Development

  • Build and improve systems that increase organizational efficiency and scalability
  • Create and maintain operational checklists, SOPs, workflows, and internal processes
  • Help standardize procedures across all program sites
  • Identify opportunities to improve communication, operations, and participant experience

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a hybrid position designed to provide both flexibility and operational presence.

Expected Work Structure:

  • Two in-office days per week for meetings, planning, collaboration, and operations
  • Remaining workdays may be completed remotely
  • Some evenings and weekends required during league seasons, tournaments, events, and community activations
  • Must be responsive and dependable during active program operations

The schedule may vary depending on seasonality and organizational needs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $45,000 – $50,000 annually

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, registration platforms, scheduling software, or operational tools
  • Experience building systems, workflows, or operational processes
