Gymnastics Coach: Preschool, Recreational, & Competitive Team Coaches Jobs in Erie, PA at Lakettes Gymnastics Academy
Lakettes Gymnastics Academy is looking to hire part-time and full-time professionals for our upcoming school year classes in preschool, recreational (elementary/middle school age) gymnastics and tumbling. Prior experience and basic knowledge of gymnastics, tumbling, cheerleading, or dance is needed. Candidates should have prior experience with teaching or coaching children in a classroom, camp, or practice type setting. Candidate must have a genuine love for children; demonstrating patience, positivity, and the ability to teach and be in control of a class of 5-8 children at a time. Candidate should be in good health and able to stay actively involved in hands on teaching throughout their work shift. This is an after school/weekend program. Shifts available weekdays 4-8/9PM and Saturdays 9:00AM-1/2PM.
Weekend party coach positions also available.
On site training is provided to further educate in the field of gymnastics fitness and tumbling.
Coach Responsibilities:
-Your personal character should project helpfulness, confidant, hardworking, and teachable.
-Your ability to coach a gymnastics class/team requires "hands on coaching", the coaches physical fitness needs to match the demands of the job.
-Communicate and work well with co-workers, owners, athletes, and parents.
-Be able to recieve direction and correction, making changes when needed.
-Ability to multitask and be attentive to a group of athletes doing multiple activities at once.
-Expected to maintain class control, in a calm and collective manner.
-Provide instruction through verbal, visual, and physical communication.
-Follow/memorize provided curriculum and represent a strong class structure.
