Role and Responsibilities:
The Gym Night Shift Closing Team Member ensures the gym is properly secured each evening while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for staff and members.
* Perform all closing duties in accordance with Planet Fitness policies and procedures.
* Confirm that all members have exited the facility before closing.
* Lock doors, secure windows, and activate alarm systems.
* Clean and sanitize equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
* Assist members with questions or concerns and provide excellent service.
* Balance daily cash and complete all required paperwork accurately.
* Restock supplies and prepare the club for the following day’s operations.
* Report and address maintenance or safety issues promptly.
* Support front desk tasks such as membership sign-ups and billing inquiries, as needed.
* Follow all safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment for staff and members.
Required
Skills and Experience:
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred.
* Available to work evening shifts, including weekends.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.
* Basic computer proficiency.
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
* Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Physical Demands:
* Standing and walking for most of the shift.
* Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
* Occasional handling of cleaning chemicals.
