As a Sporting Goods Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their firearm needs, maintaining inventory, and promoting our products through engaging demonstrations. Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with product inquiries.
- Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers through engaging product demos.
- Maintain the sales floor by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring displays are visually appealing.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately while providing excellent phone etiquette for customer inquiries.
- Utilize basic math skills to assist customers with pricing and calculations as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math applications.
- Familiarity with sporting goods or a passion for shooting sports is a plus.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Willingness to learn about new products and engage in ongoing training opportunities.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
