About the role
We are looking for two Golf and Community Coaches, one female and one male, to join the Golfzon Leadbetter Academy at Epsom College Malaysia. We are recruiting one of each gender to ensure appropriate coverage and supervision across our mixed-age and mixed-gender programmes, particularly for our youngest students and their families. This is a full-time hybrid role, working across the community and from our home base at the Academy. You will deliver TigerTOTS Golf, our Golf in Schools programme, and our regular academy and camp programmes.
Your main responsibility will be coaching three age blocks: ages 2 to 5, ages 5 to 12, and ages 13 and above.
Because this is a community based role, your working environment will vary. You will move between schools, community venues, and the Academy, so you will need to adapt your coaching approach to different settings and groups. You must have your own transport and a good working knowledge of Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding areas.
What we are looking for
- A genuine passion for working with children and an understanding of long-term athlete development (LTAD).
- Experience working with a range of age groups, particularly juniors, and the ability to create inclusive, motivating learning environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships with players, families, and stakeholders.
- Good organisational skills, including scheduling sessions, managing your time, and keeping accurate records of player progress.
- Own transport and a good working knowledge of Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas.
- A recognised golf coaching certification or relevant professional qualification is preferred.
- Previous experience in golf academies, sports coaching, or community sports programmes is an advantage.
- A commitment to a safe, respectful, and non-discriminatory coaching environment, in line with Academy standards.
