Join our dynamic athletic program as a Girls Volleyball Lower Level Coach for Junior Varsity (JV) and/or Level 3 teams! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young athletes, develop their volleyball skills, and foster a love for sports. As a vital part of our coaching staff, you will create a positive, energetic environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape confident, motivated players ready to excel both on and off the court.
Duties
- Plan and execute engaging practices focused on fundamental volleyball skills, game strategies, and team cohesion
- Coach JV and/or Level 3 teams during matches, providing clear instructions and motivating athletes to perform their best
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes respect, sportsmanship, and positive behavior management
- Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to coordinate schedules, tournaments, and team events
- Monitor athlete progress through regular feedback and support individual skill development
- Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and school policies
- Encourage student-athletes’ growth in leadership, discipline, and teamwork through mentorship and constructive communication
Skills
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly volleyball or similar team sports
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to motivate and guide young athletes effectively
- Experience in childcare or working with children helps create a nurturing environment
- Excellent communication skills to connect with students, parents, and fellow staff members
- Enthusiastic about fostering a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, effort, and enjoyment of sport
Certifications
- If offered you will be required to submit fingerprints and background check to the school district.
- CPR/AED/First Aid class will be required and can be obtained after hiring.
- CHSAA coaching test, concussion training, student mental health and mandatory reporter training tests will be required as well after hiring.

Pay: $2,000.00 – $3,000.00 per year
