Job description:
The OLPH Athletic Department is seeking passionate and committed volleyball coaches for 5th through 8th grade girls’ teams for the upcoming 2025 season. This is a rewarding opportunity to teach young athletes the fundamentals of volleyball, foster teamwork, and help players grow both on and off the court.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude and a genuine interest in mentoring intermediate-level athletes
- Can develop players across a range of skill levels while encouraging personal and team growth
- Possess previous coaching and/or playing experience (required)
- Are familiar with or willing to learn about the Play Like A Champion Today youth sports initiative (preferred)
Commitment & Expectations:
- Season runs from mid-August through October
- Teams typically have 2–5 practices or games per week (depending on team level)
- Practices and games may start as early as 2:30 PM
- Coaches are expected to maintain and communicate through the team’s athletic web page, so basic computer skills are required
