Girls Basketball Assistant Coach – High School Jobs in La Center at La Center School District
Position Description: Our coaches support the district mission by:
- Coaching and developing players on the high school JV team as well as assisting the head coach of the Varsity team
- Expectation to work with the high school head coach to help build a cohesive 7-12 program
Terms of Employment: November 16, 2026 – February 5, 2027
- Must be available weekdays after school and Saturdays for practices and games
- Current CPR/First-Aid Card on file prior to the first day of coaching athletes
- Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state and federal background checks including fingerprinting at the applicant’s expense
Salary Range: $3,386 – $4,478/season depending on experience
Benefits: Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State law. Upon working 630 hours in a school year, employees may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes, medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Some coaching experience in any sport
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience playing basketball at the college level or beyond
- Experience coaching basketball at the High School level or higher
- Availability to assist with summer workouts and fundraising
