Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and manage meal preparation schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Participate in the training of new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Adapt recipes for special dietary needs or preferences as required by guests.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in fine dining or food service settings.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and understanding of dietary department operations is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining individual accountability.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are met.
- Passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation, with an eagerness to learn new culinary skills.
