Full-Time Physician Assistant in Orthopedics Jobs in Columbia, MD at Lyle Health
An orthopedic practice near Baltimore, MD is looking to add a full time Certified Physician Assistant. The PA will work with a physician that specializes in sports medicine; treating patients in the OR and clinic. Monday-Friday schedule, no call or weekend requirements. Previous experience in ortho preferred.
Responsibilities:
– Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician
– Conduct physical examinations and obtain medical histories
– Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
– Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
– Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
– Prescribe medications and therapies
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
– Educate patients and their families about healthcare management and disease prevention
Qualifications:
– Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
– Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
– State licensure as a Physician Assistant
– Familiarity with standards of care in various healthcare settings
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
