We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Freshmen Volleyball Coach to inspire and develop our young athletes. Responsibilities
- Plan and execute engaging volleyball practices tailored to freshmen athletes’ skill levels, emphasizing fundamental techniques and teamwork.
- Lead team drills, scrimmages, and conditioning sessions to improve individual skills and overall team performance.
- Foster a positive team environment by encouraging sportsmanship, discipline, and respectful communication among players.
- Monitor safety during practices and games, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols including AED operation and first aid procedures.
- Communicate regularly with student-athletes, parents, and school staff regarding team progress, schedules, and upcoming events.
- Manage team logistics such as attendance tracking, equipment organization, and game preparations.
- Promote a fun, inclusive atmosphere that motivates students to develop their athletic abilities while enjoying the sport of volleyball.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in sports coaching or physical education instruction, preferably with volleyball or similar team sports such as basketball or soccer.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and adolescents in a coaching or teaching capacity.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and school staff clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of sports-specific training techniques including drills for skill development in volleyball.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Background in martial arts such as karate or judo is a plus for understanding discipline and focus training.
- Experience working in health clubs or gym environments is beneficial for understanding fitness fundamentals related to sports training.
