General Summary
The Fitness Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience personally and through Coach’s supervision. The role focuses on delivering great member service and generating revenue through private training and supplement sales. The manager addresses member concerns, manages employee relations, oversees scheduling and time‑keeping activities, and enforces company and club policies.
This position requires 7‑day availability, including mornings and nights.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Sell training sessions and execute effective prospecting strategies.
- Conduct guest tours and secure private training sales.
- Build value for intro PT packages and re‑sign clients on full programs.
- Generate complimentary appointments for personal training programs.
- Accurately administer client programs, supplement purchases, and measurement tracking.
- Assist in revenue‑generating activities such as complimentary workouts, supplement booths, body fat tables, seminars, and workshops.
- Achieve monthly revenue objectives for private training and supplements.
- Schedule and manage client appointments, coordinate sessions, and adjust records for cancellations.
- Submit daily sales performance reports and metrics to the Fitness Manager, Vice President, and staff.
- Work with the Fitness Manager to ensure coaches meet performance and revenue goals.
- Set monthly, weekly, and daily goals and conduct meetings to review performance.
- Handle member service matters, provide club tours, explain services, and sign members into training agreements.
- Mediate member issues and concerns and elevate when appropriate.
- Perform administrative and housekeeping duties and report repairs and maintenance needs.
- Supervise coach sales activities and review agreements and daily paperwork.
- Maintain compliance with operational procedures and perform follow‑up checks.
Organization Relationships
The Fitness PT Sales Admin reports directly to the Fitness Manager and/or General Manager and enforces policies with the Coaching Team.
Required Qualifications
- In‑depth knowledge of personal training techniques, assessment, program design, and sales.
- Ability to operate and adjust all fitness equipment.
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, emergency and safety procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, enthusiastic, positive attitude.
- Customer‑service focus—respond professionally to guests, members and staff.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; communicate clearly.
- Strong organizational skills—basic record‑keeping and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Adherence to meal and rest break periods and clocking in/out for all shift times.
- Minimum one certification from an organization recognized by UFC Gym.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Four‑year degree in a related field recognized by UFC Gym (preferred).
- Minimum two years of related experience.
- Experience in management/employee relations preferred.
- Regular standing during duties.
- Capability to lift, squat, bend, reach, spot, and stand/walk for prolonged periods; lift or move up to 45+ lbs.
