Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to keep sports fields and outdoor areas in top condition
- Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, lawn mowers, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Manage irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks, adjusting schedules, and performing repairs to ensure optimal watering practices
- Conduct routine turf care including aeration, overseeding, fertilization, and pest control to promote healthy grass growth
- Assist with landscaping projects such as planting new greenery, installing features, or renovating existing outdoor spaces
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by removing debris, trimming hedges, and ensuring safety standards are met at all times
- Collaborate with team members to plan daily tasks and troubleshoot issues related to land management or equipment
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for outdoor work is essential
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic troubleshooting skills are a plus
- Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest management
- Ability to operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, mowers along with hand tools safely
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment when necessary
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new techniques or procedures
