We are seeking an experienced Events & Fundraising Manager to join the I Am Hope Foundation team in our Auckland office. This is a full-time role based in our Eden Terrace location. As the Events & Fundraising Manager, you’ll own our full events portfolio — delivering what already works with precision and accountability and building what’s next with passion and creativity. It’s a build, run and fund role. You’ll be trusted to think commercially, act decisively, and execute seamlessly.
What you'll be doing
We have a wide and varied existing program ranging from fundraising events like Golf Tournaments, education and awareness at National events like Fieldays, numerous community activated fund-raisers and then Gumboot Friday, our annual appeal day where we ask the nation to “Gumbootup” and walk together to raise awareness and funds for I Am Hope.
Events are a critical pillar in our fundraising, and we are seeking a unique individual who can:
- Deliver world-class experiences at a wide and varied range of existing events
- Grow total event revenue year on year
- Develop new fundraising events and experiences
- Take our successful Golf Day format into different sports and/or demographics
- Build and manage relationships with sponsors, partners, suppliers and volunteers
- Keep everything tight in our CRM — calls, contacts, data, notes and pipeline
What we're looking for
- 3–5 years in events and ideally fundraising
- A track record of delivering events end-to-end
- Strong commercial instincts — you think about ROI, not just logistics
- A natural relationship builder with sponsors and stakeholders
- A creative thinker who backs ideas with execution
- Comfortable with AI/CRM tools
- A desire to improve, innovate, break the mold and make a difference
