Bishop’s Store – Evening Kitchen Supervisor

34-40+ hours per week
Must be willing to work nights and weekends. Thursday-Sunday schedule with Monday or Wednesday depending on the needs of the establishment and time of year.
Must walk with Purpose and be a hustler when needed.
Position Starts when a suitable candidate is found: 2-3 Weeks worth of Training followed by 2-3 weeks to make sure this is a good fit. 90 day probation.
Responsibilities Include:
Training staff on all stations
Communicating effectively with the Kitchen Manager any questions or concerns.
Communicating with other staff to ensure everyone is on the same page, working efficiently, effectively, and accurately.
Ensuring all staff and Customers are treated fairly and with respect.
Dealing with any issues that arise in the evening.
Keeping the Kitchen Clean and Sanitary
Taking and preparing orders- Grill, Pizza, and more
Rotating stock (FIFO), food prep, organizing, and much more.
Person must be able to lift 50 pounds and be willing to take initiative.
MUST have a Valid Serv-Safe Certificate and be able to provide to us prior to employment.
Must have good people skills and be willing to maintain a clean environment.
Previous experience with Fresh Dough Pizza is a Bonus!
MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI-TASK, BE CUSTOMER ORIENTED, & KEEP BUSY
French Speaking is a plus- Must be fluent, or nearly fluent in English.

First and foremost, this person is a leader responsible for the training and supervision of our evening kitchen staff, ensuring that everyone is focused on creating exceptional food and service for our customers.
In Collaboration with our Kitchen Manager, the supervisor and staff expertly prepare and cook food orders, maintain clean and organized kitchen and dining areas, restock, ensure that waste is minimized, and maximize efficiency and output. All of this is done to create a delightful Bishop’s Store customer experience.
Bishop’s is a fourth-generation general store located in the four-season destination location of Jackman, Maine. Whether it’s hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, or taking in the scenery, Jackman and the Moose River Valley has lots to offer!
In addition to the general store, we operate an eat-in and take-out made to order kitchen and deli. We specialize in Fresh Dough Pizza and have an extensive grill menu, cold subs, and fried foods.
