Job description
EHS Specialist is required to be proactive in updating knowledge of the EHS process, the latest health and safety information to implement them into practice effectively, which contributes to the employee’s working experience improvement at a professional, safety and effective workplace.
Role, Responsibilities & Typical Activities
- Monitor, update, and evaluate compliance with legal regulations on occupational safety and health, fire prevention and rescue, and food safety.
- Manage records and documents and prepare periodic/ad hoc reports as required.
- Develop and improve procedures, regulations, and forms related to occupational safety and health.
- Plan and organize training on occupational safety and health, first aid, fire prevention and rescue to raise employee awareness.
- Conduct periodic inspections, risk assessments, and propose solutions to control unsafe factors in the workplace.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure food safety and hygiene standards for meal providers.
- Supervise the installation and maintenance of equipment and monitor items related to safety and fire prevention.
- Participate in implementing healthcare programs, managing the first-aid kit, and proposing activities to improve the physical and mental health of employees.
- Receive, process, and support issues related to employee health and disease prevention.
- Investigate workplace accidents/incidents, monitor corrective measures, and assist with compensation/reimbursement procedures when necessary.
- Coordinate fire prevention and rescue drills and develop emergency response plans.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Your Skills and Experience
Required qualifications:
- College/University degree in Occupational Safety or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and procedures related to environmental health safety.
- English proficiency at B1 level or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Effective organizational, management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in a multinational environment.
- Experience in developing or improving environmental safety and health systems.
- Experience in implementing employee health care programs.
