In this dual role, the incumbent will fulfill lifeguarding and swim instruction duties while ensuring the safety of all swimmers. Candidates must demonstrate a sound understanding of lifesaving techniques and maintain a clean, welcoming aquatic environment. Responsibilities also include educating the public, performing maintenance, and offering constructive feedback on swimmer progress.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enforce pool rules and ensure swimmer safety
• Administer first aid as required
• Facilitate recreational and instructional aquatic sessions
• Communicate swimmer progress to clients
• Perform necessary maintenance on the facility
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Courses in lifesaving and aquatic instruction
• Strong understanding of CPR and first aid
• Lifesaving Society Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certifications
• Police Information Check required
