A leading high-performance school in Santiago, Chile, is seeking a Director of Sports to lead and elevate its athletic program. The school is widely recognized for its excellence in rugby and hockey and is now looking to further strengthen and expand its sports offering across additional disciplines.

This opportunity is open to both local and international candidates, with a strong interest in attracting talent from abroad who can bring global experience and perspective.

The role requires a hands-on, inspirational leader capable of managing a complex and demanding environment, while driving both athletic performance and a strong sense of community.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead and manage a team of 22-25 sports staff members

-Oversee all sports programs, including:

Rugby and hockey (core focus)

Football, volleyball, athletics, basketball, and emerging female sports

-Drive performance and development across all sports disciplines

-Inspire, motivate, and engage students and staff toward excellence

-Manage administrative responsibilities and competition schedules

-Represent the school in events, tournaments, and external associations

-Actively engage with the school community (students, parents, staff)

-Promote and embody the school's values and traditions

Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in:

-School environments (essential)

-Sports team leadership and management (essential)

Strong background in:

-Rugby and/or hockey

-Experience working with children and youth across different age groups

-International exposure is highly valued

Leadership & Personal Attributes:

-Charismatic and inspiring leader

-High standards and high-performance mindset

-Ability to motivate rather than simply manage

-Strong presence and resilience under pressure

-Hands-on approach

-Ability to lead complex teams, including high-level athletes

Language & Location:

-Fluent English (mandatory)

-Spanish is a plus (not mandatory)

New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, UK, South Africa, Netherlands and Germany
