Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.
About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Director of Recreation – Kids Club to lead the resort’s Kids Club and Beach Activity operations.
This leadership role is responsible for delivering a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children, while creating memorable, high-quality experiences for families. The Director will oversee all aspects of programming, operations, and team leadership, ensuring seamless service execution in alignment with Wynn’s luxury standards.
With a strong focus on innovation and service excellence, this role will drive the development of engaging, age-appropriate experiences, foster a high-performing team culture, and uphold the warmth, consistency, and attention to detail expected of a Forbes Five-Star destination.
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Provide strategic leadership across Kids Club and Beach Activity operations, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality guest environment.
- Curate and continuously enhance innovative, age-appropriate programs that support children’s social, physical, and cognitive development.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, and facility management, ensuring seamless and efficient service delivery.
- Establish and uphold rigorous safety standards, ensuring full compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team through recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture aligned with Wynn’s service values.
- Ensure accurate operational record-keeping, including attendance and incident reporting, and respond to all situations with professionalism and care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and families at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, ensuring transparency and a highly personalized guest experience.
- Drive operational excellence through the development and continuous enhancement of policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment with overall resort operations and guest experience delivery.
- Monitor performance standards and guest feedback, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and service innovation.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in recreation, hospitality, or a related field, including at least 2 years in children focused or youth program operations.
- Recognised certifications in Lifeguard Rescue, CPR, AED, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong leadership capability, with proven experience building, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering service excellence in a luxury hospitality environment.
- The ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting while maintaining the highest standards of safety and guest experience.
