Position Summary
The Recreation Attendant will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and assistance to guests and team members using Deerhurst Resort’s recreational facilities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for bookings, inventory, equipment rental, daily cash-outs, and all aspects of the recreation operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets all guests and team members providing exceptional and professional service.
Provides information and assistance to guests and colleagues regarding all recreation facilities and activities.
Assists guest and colleagues with recreation equipment, ensuring proper sign-out/in procedures.
Explains and monitors safe use of equipment to all guests and colleagues.
Responds to first aid and emergency situations as required.
Responsible for inventory, equipment counts, cash-outs, opening and closing of the desk.
Ensures cleanliness and organization of the recreation areas and ensures that equipment is maintained throughout the day, reporting any and all damage.
Attends to any guest complaint to ensure the guests needs are met, dialogue with guest is tracked, and followed-up with leader.
Ensures an adequate supply of towels and other items are available.
Ensures guests have completed the necessary activity waivers.
Completes all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
Visa Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in Canada
