As a key member of our High School sports program, you will foster teamwork, discipline, and personal growth while promoting healthy lifestyles through the sport of cross country running. Duties
- Plan and implement training programs tailored to student-athletes’ skill levels and goals, emphasizing endurance, speed, and technique.
- Lead practices, ensuring proper warm-up, cool-down, and injury prevention strategies are followed.
- Motivate athletes during competitions by providing strategic guidance and fostering a positive team spirit.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline among team members while managing behavior effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance statistics, and injury reports to ensure athlete safety and program continuity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on cross country or endurance running; prior experience in sports-specific training instruction is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills to effectively motivate students, collaborate with staff, and engage parents.
- Knowledge of athletic training techniques including AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator) use for emergency situations.
- Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating excellent behavior management skills.
- Experience in coaching or teaching preferred.
**This is a stipend position.
Pay: From $2,299.18 per year
