Top Shelf Media is looking for a Creative Operations & Content Coordinator to join our growing team.

This role is perfect for someone who loves sports, enjoys working with people, and isn't afraid to wear multiple hats.

We're looking for an outgoing, organized individual who can help manage client communication, coordinate projects, support content creation, and assist our creative team at events, tournaments, and media days throughout the year.

No two weeks look the same at Top Shelf Media.

During the spring and summer, you'll help coordinate in-studio media days, manage bookings, assist with content planning, and prepare clients for the upcoming season. During the fall and winter, you'll spend more time on-site at tournaments, games, and events helping bring projects to life.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients through phone, email, and social media
  • Coordinate bookings, schedules, and project timelines
  • Assist with planning content calendars and social media campaigns
  • Schedule and publish content across multiple social platforms
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content, photos, and videos at events
  • Edit short-form content including Instagram Reels and TikToks
  • Support photographers, videographers, and designers during productions
  • Assist with media day setup, athlete coordination, and event logistics
  • Represent Top Shelf Media professionally at tournaments, media days, and community events

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working directly with athletes, parents, coaches, and clients
  • Outgoing personality with confidence in front-facing situations
  • Hockey background preferred
  • Experience working with youth athletes aged 8-18 is considered an asset
  • Basic photography experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras
  • Experience creating and editing social media content
  • Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and current social media trends
  • Experience using CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar software is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel when required

Schedule

The sports world doesn't operate Monday to Friday and neither do we.

  • Schedule provided monthly
  • Typically 2 days per week in-studio
  • 1-3 days per week working remotely depending on workload, tournaments, and media days
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Most events take place Friday through Sunday
  • Mondays and Tuesdays are typically scheduled days off

Compensation

  • Starting wage: $20-$25 per hour based on experience
  • 6-month trial period
  • Performance review conducted during Month 5
  • Opportunity for extension based on performance and business needs
  • Mileage reimbursement for approved travel outside the Hamilton and Stoney Creek area

Starting time

  • Mid July / End of July
