Role Overview:

The Coordinator – Regional Development Centers will be responsible for overall functioning, delivery of quality programs and monitoring of the activities of ASA’s Development Centers across Anantapur and Sri Satya Sai districts. The role ensures that all centers deliver a holistic development program for children and youth by integrating 1. Sport 2. Education (Computer, English & Library) 3. Life Skills & Value Education and 4. Nutrition. The Coordinator will lead with consistent planning across the development centers and guide the local teams in achieving the impact by aligning with the ASA’s Access-Educate-Empower approach.

Responsibilities

Program Planning & Delivery

  • Lead annual planning for all the development centers by coordinating with the center staff and ensure the timely execution of the plans. 
  • Create a child-friendly environment conducive for the holistic development of the children and youth through an integrated delivery of activities.
  • Guide the center’s team in engaging with local communities to promote participation of children & youth in sport, especially of girls, in communities/schools.
  • Organize annual workshops to ensure the continuous professional development of the coaches & volunteers.

Program Administration

  • Ensure smooth day to day functioning of all the development centers. 
  • Monitor: 
  • Staff attendance and weekly schedules
  • Availability of necessary equipment and infrastructure is available for the center staff. 
  • Prepare budgets aligning with program’s goals and track them periodically.
  • Responsible for the documentation and maintenance of records on all the ASA development centers.
  • Liaise with Area Team Leaders to ensure the development centre staff receive timely support for conducting activities.

Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Ensure all centers follow a standard monitoring process including attendance and activity reporting. 
  • Conduct bi-weekly visits to centers to track the participation, program delivery and center functioning. 
  • Analyse the data collected and prepare quarterly and annual reports and submit them to the Director.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Coaching, Social Work or related fields.

Experience:

  • 0-2 years in grassroots sports, youth development or community programs.

Key Competencies

  • Understanding of Sport for Development/Youth Development
  • Strong coordination and people management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple centers simultaneously
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Basic to Intermediate data management and reporting skills
  • Willingness to stay in rural areas and to travel
  • Stakeholder management (coaches, schools, parents)
