We're hiring a Communications Coordinator II to support a global sports brand's Public Relations (PR) and Running Communications team. This contract opportunity runs through December 15, 2026 and is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of experience in PR, media relations, or brand communications within the sports industry.
Responsibilities include writing press releases, media materials, and other communications content; coordinating media outreach; supporting PR events, interviews, and product launches; collaborating with internal stakeholders and agency partners; managing communications projects; and providing on-site support at major running events. Candidates should have excellent writing skills, experience in sports communications, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and be available for occasional travel and weekend events. Previous experience with a major athletic brand, PR agency, or event agency is highly preferred. A press release or similar writing sample is required as part of the application process.
