This flexible position involves providing climbing instruction in MRU’s Climbing Centre. As an instructor, you’ll teach various techniques, welcome participants, and ensure the safe use of equipment. You’ll inspire climbers of all abilities, promoting accessibility in recreational programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach top rope, lead climbing, and belaying skills
• Welcome participants and highlight facility policies
• Supervise learners for safety and provide coaching
• Distribute and manage rental climbing equipment
• Ensure programs accommodate diverse access needs
Requirements:
• Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of climbing techniques and terminology
• ACMG Level 1 Climbing Gym Instructor preferred
• Passion for teaching and community engagement
