Join our vibrant team as a Children’s Swim Instructor and inspire young learners to develop essential swimming skills while fostering confidence, safety, and a love for water activities. As a key member of our aquatic education team, you will create a positive, energetic environment that encourages growth and learning in every child.
Duties
- Lead engaging and age-appropriate swimming lessons for children, ensuring safety and enjoyment at all times
- Implement structured lesson plans that incorporate swimming techniques, water safety protocols, and fun activities
- Use effective communication skills to motivate children and clearly demonstrate swimming skills and safety procedures
- Monitor children’s behavior and progress, providing positive reinforcement and gentle guidance to encourage improvement
- Maintain a safe aquatic environment by adhering to all safety standards, including AED operation and emergency response procedures
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to update them on their child’s progress and address any concerns
- Assist with pool maintenance and cleanliness to ensure a safe and hygienic learning space
Qualifications
- Prior lifeguard experience or certification is highly preferred, including AED operation training
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey instructions and foster positive relationships with students and parents
- Background in childcare or teaching physical education is desirable
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain a disciplined yet fun learning environment
- Experience in swimming instruction or martial arts such as karate or judo is beneficial but not mandatory; enthusiasm for teaching children physical activities is essential
