Duties
- Plan and execute age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood education, creativity, and social interaction.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and special events such as camp outings or theater performances.
- Maintain safety protocols by practicing first aid when necessary and ensuring all children are accounted for at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring, or babysitting roles is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.
- Classroom management skills combined with the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Ability to engage children through creative activities such as theater, sports coaching, or arts and crafts.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and supervisors.
