Capital Gymnastics NTC is seeking a positive, dependable Cheer Coach to support our cheer and tumbling programs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with youth athletes and contributing to a safe, energetic, and team-oriented gym environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Cheer Coach during recreational and competitive cheer practices
- Teach and reinforce proper cheer techniques including motions, jumps, basic stunts, and tumbling skills
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive training environment
- Support conditioning, choreography, and routine clean-up as directed
- Assist with competition preparation and special events as needed
- Communicate professionally with athletes, parents, and staff
- Follow all gym policies, safety procedures, and coaching standards
Qualifications
- Cheerleading or gymnastics background preferred
- Experience working with children in a coaching or instructional setting
- Basic knowledge of cheer skills and safe spotting techniques
- Reliable, positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Availability for evenings and weekends
- Must pass background check and complete required safety training
Preferred (Not Required)
- USASF or equivalent cheer/tumbling certification
- Competitive cheer experience
- Tumbling instruction experience
Compensation
- Compensation is competitive and negotiable based on experience, certifications, and qualifications
