Position: Certified Lifeguard at City of Wetaskiwin

Make a splash with the City of Wetaskiwin as a certified Lifeguard in a full-time role. Promote safety and well-being in and around the pool at the Manluk Centre.
As a Lifeguard 3, you will report to the Aquatic Coordinator, ensuring high safety standards and delivering premium swimming instruction. Applicants should possess strong communication skills and demonstrate teamwork in a vibrant aquatics department. Responsibilities include water chemistry testing, emergency response, and supervising aquatic activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure effective scanning and patrolling of pool areas
• Provide swimming and lifesaving instruction to patrons
• Conduct safety checks and provincial water tests
• Respond to emergencies and perform first aid when necessary
• Assist in maintaining pool cleanliness and equipment
Requirements:
• At least 18 years old with 3 years of lifeguarding experience
• Current National Lifeguard and First Aid certifications required
• Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
• Ability to teach and provide feedback
• Clear criminal record check required
