CARA Track & Field Coach

Position: CARA Track & Field Coach

Rate: $17.50/hour

Foothills is seeking a CARA Track & Field Coach for the summer season. The season begins June 1st and ends July 18th. This position is responsible for the supervision and instruction of the CARA track program. The position will keep accurate attendance records, develop lesson plans, as well as evaluate and assess skill level and progress of all participants. The job may require shifts ranging from morning to evening hours. This position is seasonal and nonexempt.

Candidates must have availability for the following days/times:

Practice: Monday-Thursday Mornings 8:00-9:30am

Track Meet Dates: June 13th, 20th, 27th and July 11th, 18th
Experience and Skills:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.

One (1) year of previous experience in track and field.

Experience with supervising children ages 5 to 17 years old preferred.

Background in athletics, teaching, coaching and/or competing in track and field preferred.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Concussion recognition training is required prior to employment and must be renewed annually.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications preferred.
